About Malvern Hills (Auscanary)

The 'Malvern Hills' (Auscanary) is an enchanting David Austin rambler rose that, with its long, graceful branches and abundant blooms, is a true eye-catcher. This unique rose features a treasure trove of small, beautifully full, bright yellow flowers that appear in rich clusters. They emit a subtle, refined Noisette fragrance that adds a touch of elegance to any garden. What makes the Malvern Hills so special is its rare repeat-flowering character: from early summer well into autumn, you can enjoy its radiant display continuously.

With its vigorous growth habit and nearly thornless branches, the Malvern Hills is exceptionally versatile and low-maintenance. It is the perfect choice to transform a romantic pergola, a stately rose arch, a charming wall, or an extensive fence into a blooming work of art. Its lush blooms also attract bees and butterflies, contributing to a lively and biodiverse garden. Create vertical splendor and enjoy a continuous stream of sunlit flowers.

At Belle Époque Rose Nursery in Aalsmeer, you buy the 'Malvern Hills' directly from the grower, with a guarantee of top quality. As a family business with over 40 years of experience, we cultivate our roses with unmatched passion and expertise. We stand for sustainable cultivation and supply only strong, healthy plants that guarantee years of garden enjoyment. Choose the expertise of Belle Époque and bring a piece of Aalsmeer rose beauty into your home.

Care & Plants
Plant the Malvern Hills in nutrient-rich, well-draining soil in a sunny spot (at least 6 hours of sun per day). Plant bare-root roses between October and April, and potted roses throughout the year. Make sure the graft union (swelling) is just below the soil surface and water generously after planting.
Prune the Malvern Hills in early spring to encourage growth and keep it under control. Remove dead, damaged, or diseased branches and train the long, flexible stems along the desired support, such as a pergola or rose arch, to shape the plant.
Water the Malvern Hills regularly, especially during dry periods and after planting. Fertilize in early spring and after the first bloom with a special rose fertilizer for optimal growth and flowering. A layer of mulch around the base helps retain moisture and suppress weeds.
