Madame Vivienne Grace – a pink rose full of little hearts

Discover the special charm of ‘Madame Vivienne Grace’, an exclusive shrub rose bred by Belle Époque. This unique garden rose was created in collaboration with Dirk Alderden, my mentor in the art of rose breeding. In his historic greenhouse dating from 1924, in the heart of Aalsmeer, the foundation was laid for this striking rose with a personal story.

‘Madame Vivienne Grace’ has beautiful pink flowers with a very special centre. The petals around the open centre look like little hearts and give each flower a unique, graceful shape. Thanks to its single flowers and clearly visible stamens, the rose has a natural and playful appearance. The open centre also makes it attractive to bees and other pollinators.

With its healthy, compact growth and an eventual height of approximately 50 to 70 cm, ‘Madame Vivienne Grace’ is versatile. It looks beautiful at the front of a border, as a romantic accent in a rose bed, or in a spacious pot on the patio or balcony. Plant several together for an airy display of colour that blooms for a long time.
