Step into a world of classic charm with Rosa 'Albertine', a famous rambler rose that has been winning hearts since 1921. This exceptional climber unfolds from masses of copper-red buds into an abundance of large, full salmon-pink flowers up to 9 centimeters, with a coral-pink reverse adding enchanting depth. Its intense, pleasant fragrance fills the garden, making it an unforgettable, romantic sight – a true classic in every sense of the word.
With its vigorous growth, 'Albertine' easily reaches heights of up to 5 meters, making it perfect for transforming a facade, pergola, or old tree into a blooming masterpiece. Although it blooms only once, its spectacular display in June and July is so rich and long-lasting that it provides a beautiful green backdrop for the rest of the year. Its strong disease resistance and glossy dark green leaves also make it a healthy and low-maintenance addition to your garden.
At Belle Époque Rose Nursery in Aalsmeer, we cherish the tradition and quality you expect from a family business with over 40 years of experience. Every 'Albertine' rose is cultivated with expertise and passion, directly from our nursery. Roses in pots
A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.
Roses with bare roots
Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.
At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.
Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
