About CL. Yves Piaget (climbing rose)

Welcome the unparalleled beauty of the CL. Yves Piaget climbing rose into your garden, a living tribute to the refinement of the Swiss jeweler Yves Piaget. This rose is a true diva with its delightfully strong, classic rose fragrance, enriched with a hint of sunny citrus. With its lush, bright to light pink flowers – reminiscent of a scoop of strawberry ice cream – and an average of 80 petals per bloom, the CL. Yves Piaget unfolds in a stunning display of old-fashioned charm and rich scent, perfect for a romantic atmosphere.

As a majestic climbing rose, the CL. Yves Piaget transforms any pergola, wall, or fence into an enchanting vertical garden. Its repeat-blooming nature provides a constant stream of beautiful, large flowers from June to October that not only please the eye but also attract bees and butterflies. Moreover, the full flowers are excellent as cut roses, allowing you to enjoy their grandeur and irresistible perfume indoors as well.

At Belle Époque Rose Nursery, a family business with over 40 years of experience, we understand the value of unique and high-quality roses. The CL. Yves Piaget is delivered with care and passion directly from our nursery in Aalsmeer. We guarantee healthy, strong plants, sustainably grown with the expertise passed down through generations, so you can enjoy this exceptional rose for many years.

Care & Plants
Plant the CL. Yves Piaget in a sunny spot (at least 6 hours of sun per day) in well-draining, nutrient-rich soil. Bare-root roses are best planted between October and April, while potted roses can be planted year-round, except during frost. Ensure enough space and planting distance for the climbing rose to develop optimally along a pergola, wall, or fence.
Prune the CL. Yves Piaget in early spring, once the worst frost has passed. Remove dead, damaged, or weak branches and cut back side shoots to 2-3 buds. Train the main branches horizontally to encourage richer blooming and securely tie them to your support.
Water the CL. Yves Piaget regularly, especially during dry periods and after planting. Fertilize in the spring and after the first bloom with a special rose fertilizer to encourage continuous blooming and improve flower quality. A layer of mulch around the base of the plant helps retain moisture and suppress weeds.
