Red Dawn is a rose you cannot overlook. Its deep, velvety red hue has a classic touch, yet feels strong and fresh. This is the kind of rose that immediately brings atmosphere to the garden – rich, warm, and full of character.

The blossoms are beautifully shaped and open into full, graceful roses that continue to captivate, from the first bud to full bloom. Red Dawn is a rose that stands firm. Not loud, but convincing.

Colour and appearance

The colour of Red Dawn is deep dark red, almost velvety, with an intense look that especially shines in the morning and evening sun. Combined with green leaves or lighter roses, it creates a beautiful contrast.

This is a rose that stands out strongly both alone and in groups.

Scent and experience

Red Dawn is known for its rich, warm scent. Not fleeting, but full and distinctive. A scent that greets you as you pass by and completes its presence in the garden.

A sturdy garden rose

Red Dawn is a reliable shrub rose with a compact, bushy growth habit. It is suitable for borders, rose beds, and smaller gardens, but also looks wonderful combined with perennials. A rose that is not only beautiful but also blooms gladly and adapts well in the garden.

The exact breeder of Red Dawn is unknown. What we do know is that this rose has proven itself for many years as an exceptionally strong and characterful garden rose. Sometimes it is precisely these roses, without an official label or grand story, that endure through their quality alone.

At Belle Epoque we select roses based on appearance and experience. Red Dawn is such a rose, chosen not for its name, but for what it shows in the garden.

Roses in pots

A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.

Roses with bare roots

Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.

At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.

Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
