The man behind Rosa 'Growth & Bloom' (Syn. Paragon) is the breeder Marco Braun, who resides in Alphen aan den Rijn. Marco has already introduced several dozen new roses to the market; from small shrub roses and large and small-flowered shrub roses to ramblers (climbing roses). And he has only been breeding roses for thirteen years. Keep in mind that it takes at least seven years after a crossbreeding before a new rose comes to the market. What's special about Rosa 'Growth & Bloom' is that the plant is disease-free, grows easily, and blooms very profusely. And it's the first rambler that continues to bloom, according to Marco. The first flowers appear at the end of June, by mid-July the rose is in full bloom and by August most of the flowers have faded. Where other climbing roses are done blooming, a second bloom follows in September and October.Marco: "And the flowers also smell wonderful, a bit lemony.

The most special thing about the Growth & Bloom rose:

What I find special is that it stays beautiful for a long time. Even after a rain shower, the flowers remain pure white, they do not change color. This rose can handle moisture very well. In the Netherlands, that's quite pleasant!"
The semi-double, white flowers are grouped together in large clusters. Thanks to the striking yellow stamens, they are very expressive. Marco says they are real bee magnets:
"You won't believe what you see. I have a specimen in my community garden and they really buzz around it." To top it off, Rosa 'Growth & Bloom' gets beautiful orange-red colored hips. After two years, the plant is about 2 meters tall. The rambler is, according to Marco, perfectly suitable to cover a bare wall.

Roses in Pots

A potted rose is a rose plant that has been pre-grown in a pot and comes with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly into the garden or a larger container — no need to wait for new root growth. This makes potted roses ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May to October.

Bare Root Roses

Bare root roses are rose plants supplied without soil or pots. These roses are in their dormant stage and can be planted directly into the ground. The best time to plant bare root roses is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and temperatures are mild.

At Belle Epoque, we supply bare root roses from November to April. Thanks to their strong root systems and the right planting conditions, these roses quickly grow into healthy, vigorous shrubs or climbing roses with abundant blooms.

Products are shipped weekly on Mondays & Shipped directly from the nursery on Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimize our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
