The David Austin rose 'Kew Gardens' (Ausfence) enchants with an unparalleled beauty reminiscent of a summer snowfall. From delicate apricot-colored buds unfold countless small, single-flowered wonders, gathered in lush clusters that resemble hydrangeas. The pure white palette, subtly accented with a touch of lemon yellow around the stamens, creates a light and airy spectacle. This English rose, lightly scented and almost thornless, invites touch and admiration, and is a delight for bees and butterflies.

With its strong and healthy growth, 'Kew Gardens' is a versatile addition to any garden. It excels as a shrub rose in borders, creates charming hedges, or stands beautifully as a solitary eye-catcher. Thanks to its tolerance for light shade and even a north-facing wall, this rose opens new possibilities for more challenging spots in the garden. The constant flow of flowers from May to October, followed by decorative red hips if not pruned, guarantees long-lasting visual enjoyment.

At Belle Époque Rose Nursery, your family business with over 40 years of passion and expertise, you are assured of top quality. Our 'Kew Gardens' roses are carefully and skillfully grown in Aalsmeer, directly from the grower to your garden. We guarantee healthy, strong plants that, with proper care, will provide years of flowering pleasure. Choose the proven quality and sustainability of Belle Époque and enrich your garden with a rose lovingly nurtured.

Roses in pots

A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.

Roses with bare roots

Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.

At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.

Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
