Additionally, this climbing rose retains quite a bit of foliage in winter, which distinguishes it from many other roses.

Het snoeien van een roos is belangrijk om deze jong en vitaal te houden. Aangezien Rosa β€˜Guirlande d'Amour’ een doorbloeiende roos is kan dat het beste gebeuren in de maand maart. Het is dan belangrijk om de hoofdtakken zoveel mogelijk met rust te laten. De hoofdtakken kan je herkennen aan de dikte en dat ze een opgaande groei hebben. De zijtakken kan je zonder problemen snoeien. Knip de zijtakken tot ongeveer 3 Γ  5 centimeter van de hoofdtak af. Wil je nog een betere (na)bloei stimuleren? Knip dan de nogmaals de eerste bloei af in de periode van eind juli. Snoei de roos terug tot een vijfblad voor nieuwe uitlopers en bloemen.
