About Aprikola

The Rosa 'Aprikola' is a true ray of sunshine for your garden or terrace, a masterpiece by Kordes from 2000 that enchants any outdoor space with its warm, apricot-colored flowers. This repeat-flowering cluster rose creates a cheerful and inviting atmosphere, attracting a variety of bees and butterflies with its semi-double blooms, and also spreads a subtle, pleasant fragrance. A rose that not only pleases the eye but also contributes to biodiversity.

With a compact growth height of 60-80 cm, the 'Aprikola' is particularly versatile. Whether you want to enrich a spacious border, create a colorful cutting garden, or even brighten up a balcony or terrace in pots; this shrub rose feels at home everywhere. Its excellent disease resistance and long flowering period, from early summer to late autumn, make it a sustainable and low-maintenance choice for any garden lover.

At Belle Époque Rose Nursery in Aalsmeer, you buy quality directly from the grower. With over 40 years of expertise and passion, we cultivate roses like the 'Aprikola' with the utmost care and according to sustainable principles. This rose carries the ADR® label and is an Excellence Rose, guaranteeing proven top quality, resistance, and flowering power. Choose the expertise of a family business and enjoy an 'Aprikola' that will shine for years to come.

Care & Plants
Plant bare-root roses between October and April, and potted roses all year round, as long as the ground is not frozen. Ensure well-draining soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot. Dig a spacious planting hole, place the graft union just below the soil surface, and press the soil firmly.
Prune the 'Aprikola' in early spring, after the last frost, back to 15-20 cm above the ground. Regularly remove spent flowers during the blooming season to encourage new bud formation and keep the plant healthy.
Water regularly during warm periods, especially for plants in pots. Fertilize in spring and after the first bloom with special rose fertilizer for abundant flowering. A layer of mulch helps keep the soil moist and suppresses weeds.
