Comte de Chambord (Mme Boll) combines the romantic appeal of old roses with repeat flowering. Her large, richly filled flowers are pink, with a somewhat deeper-colored center. The many petals form a refined bloom that invites you to admire it up close - and smell it. Her powerful fragrance has sweet and fruity notes.

This historic Portland rose was bred by Daniel Boll and introduced to the market in France by Boyeau in 1859. This dates it to shortly before the Belle Époque. It represents an important development in rose history: roses that combine the flower shape and fragrance of old garden roses with multiple flushes of bloom per season.

The flowers appear from June, with new flushes throughout the summer and into autumn. The shrub remains relatively compact, allowing Mme Boll to find a beautiful place even in a smaller garden.

Plant her in a romantic border, near a seating area, or along a garden path to fully enjoy her fragrance. She also looks lovely in a spacious pot. The flowers are also suitable for cutting to make a fragrant bouquet.

Give Mme Boll a sunny, airy position and fertile, well-drained soil. Remove spent flowers to encourage new blooms. During prolonged rain, the densely filled flowers may open less easily.
