Step into the enchanting world of the 'Dainty Bess', a characterful large-flowered tea rose that recalls the timeless elegance of yesteryear. This classic rose, selected before 1925, charms with its airy, open bloom. The delicate flowers, consisting of 5 to 6 soft pink petals with a subtle salmon-pink undertone, are beautifully contrasted by striking red-yellow stamens. Enjoy the mild, spicy fragrance reminiscent of the pristine beauty of wild roses, and let yourself be carried away to an atmosphere of calm and natural grace.
With a compact height and width of about 70 cm, the 'Dainty Bess' is an excellent choice for borders, flower beds, and even smaller gardens or pots. Its upright, branched growth habit and fresh green foliage provide a healthy appearance, while the rose blooms abundantly in several waves throughout the season. For a lush and full effect, we recommend three plants per square meter, transforming your garden into a soft pink dream.
At Belle Époque Rose Nursery in Aalsmeer, you buy the 'Dainty Bess' directly from the grower. With over 40 years of expertise and passion, we provide you with strong, healthy roses that have been carefully cultivated. Each specimen guarantees years of enjoyment and brings a touch of timeless beauty and color to your garden, straight from our family business to your home.

Roses in pots
A potted rose is a rose plant that has already been grown in a pot and is delivered with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly in the garden or in a larger pot, without having to wait for root growth. This makes the potted rose ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May through October.
Roses with bare roots
Bare-root roses – also called root roses – are rose plants delivered without a pot or soil. These roses are dormant and can be planted directly in open ground. The best time to plant a root rose is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and the temperature mild.
At Belle Epoque we supply bare-root roses from November through April. Thanks to the well-developed root system and the right planting conditions, these roses grow vigorously into healthy and bloom-rich bushes or climbing roses.
Products are shipped directly from the nursery every Monday and Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimise our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
