The Rosa 'Renée van Wegberg'™ is a medium-sized, fragrant shrub rose with soft pink, cup-shaped flowers and a unique raspberry flavor. This abundantly flowering rose combines ornamental value with culinary versatility - ideal for both garden and kitchen.

The flowers are densely filled (approx. 93 petals) and are arranged in compact clusters. Thanks to the silky texture and fruity scent, this rose is not only a feast for the eyes, but also a delight for the taste. The edible petals are excellent for use in salads, desserts, syrups, jam, or tea. Even when dried, they retain their color and aroma.

With a compact height of 60–70 cm and bushy growth habit, Rosa 'Renée van Wegberg' fits perfectly in borders, pots, and even in small city gardens. Moreover, it has high disease resistance, is low-maintenance, and suitable for organic cultivation.

👉 Rosa 'Renée van Wegberg' was developed by Pheno Geno Roses and presented in 2019 at De Rozenhof in Lottum. The rose is named after the Dutch actress and singer Renée van Wegberg and belongs to the first generation of edible roses.

Roses in Pots

A potted rose is a rose plant that has been pre-grown in a pot and comes with a well-developed root system. These roses are ready to be planted directly into the garden or a larger container — no need to wait for new root growth. This makes potted roses ideal for planting throughout the year, especially from May to October.

Bare Root Roses

Bare root roses are rose plants supplied without soil or pots. These roses are in their dormant stage and can be planted directly into the ground. The best time to plant bare root roses is in autumn or early spring, when the soil is still moist and temperatures are mild.

At Belle Epoque, we supply bare root roses from November to April. Thanks to their strong root systems and the right planting conditions, these roses quickly grow into healthy, vigorous shrubs or climbing roses with abundant blooms.

Products are shipped weekly on Mondays & Shipped directly from the nursery on Wednesday. By delivering only twice a week, we reduce logistical emissions and optimize our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
