Shepherdess (Austwist) is an elegant English rose distinguished by its medium-sized, deeply crested flowers in a soft apricot colour with sometimes a subtle pink glow. Its fragrance is fresh and fruity, with a delicate hint of lemon. This rose forms an upright, bushy shrub that is ideal for any garden. Shepherdess takes its name from Sir Philip Sidney's classic work "The Arcadia" from 1593 and was introduced by David Austin in 2005. Care Instructions

Caring for Rosa 'Shepherdess' is not difficult, but the rose does require some time and attention on a regular basis. Roses need a lot of energy to grow well and sufficient water and nutrition help with that. Also check regularly whether there are faded flower buds on the rose. To prevent wasting energy, it is best to remove these as soon as possible. It is also wise to fertilize the rose so that it can absorb good and healthy nutrition again. The advice is to do this twice a year; in March and at the end of June.
