Discover the enchanting beauty of Rosa Moyesii, also known as the Mandarin Rose, a gem from western China, now available from Belle Epoque. This robust and healthy rose, known for its vigorous growth and unique appearance, is a must-have for any garden lover looking for something special.

Rosa Moyesii is not just any rose; it is a shrub that brings life and color to any garden. With its arching growth habit and spreading branches, this rose creates a striking presence. In late spring the plant is covered with a profusion of wine-red flowers, each up to 7cm in size, with striking yellow stamens that provide a spectacular show. The blooms are so profuse that the dark green, glossy foliage is almost completely hidden, creating a breathtaking scene.

But the beauty of Rosa Moyesii does not stop with the flowers. After the flowering period, the shrubs are adorned with striking, bottle-shaped rose hips, adding an extra dimension of interest and color to the winter garden. These decorative rose hips are not only pleasing to the eye, but also provide food for local wildlife, making your garden a haven for birds and other animals.

At Belle Epoque we understand the value of unique and healthy roses. That is why we offer Rosa Moyesii directly from our nursery, so that you are assured of the highest quality and vitality. This rose is ideal for anyone who wants to enrich their garden with a special plant that is both visually attractive and easy to care for.

Care Instructions

Caring for rose 'Moyesii' is not difficult, but the rose does require some time and attention on a regular basis. Roses need a lot of energy to grow well and sufficient water and nutrition helps with this. Also check regularly whether there are spent flower buds on the rose. To avoid wasting energy, it is best to remove these as quickly as possible. It is wise to fertilize the rose so that it can absorb good and healthy nutrition again. The advice is to do this twice a year; in March and the end of June.

Products are shipped directly from the nursery every week on Wednesdays. By delivering only once a week, we reduce logistics emissions and optimize our processes. This benefits both the quality of our products and the climate.
