This modern shrub rose bears its small, odorless, yellow flowers all summer long against a backdrop of glossy green foliage. The semi-double flowers are borne throughout the season by blushing. Rose 'Yellow Fairy' is neat and bushy, a lovely choice for filling gaps in sunny borders or can be grown in a pot as a patio rose. Height and width: 1m (39").
Planting roses can actually be done all year round, as long as it does not freeze. And it is also quite easy with the right preparation and a little bit of knowledge. Start by choosing the right location. The Rosa 'Yellow Fairy' is best planted in the sun. Roses root and grow in almost any type of soil as long as the soil is nutritious and slightly moist. Special planting soil is not necessary, but it does give the rose a good start.
Caring for rosa 'Yellow Fairy' is not difficult, but the rose does require some time and attention on a regular basis. Roses need a lot of energy to grow well and sufficient water and nutrition helps. Also check regularly whether there are faded flower buds on the rose. To avoid wasting energy, it is best to remove it as soon as possible. It is also wise to fertilize the rose so that it can again absorb good and healthy food. The advice is to do this twice a year; in March and the end of June.
Pruning a rose is important to keep it young and vital. Since Rosa 'Yellow Fairy' is a perpetually flowering rose, this is best done in the month of March. It is then important to leave the main branches alone as much as possible. You can recognize the main branches by the thickness and that they have an upright growth. You can prune the side branches without any problems. Cut the side branches to about 3 to 5 centimeters from the main branch.
